Castle Cake
Mom2SammyW - July 19, 2008
My aunt's 50th birthday was at one of those medieval castle dinner theater places, and her cake was a three dimensional castle made of chocolate brownies, rice cereal treats, caramel frosting, an assortment of candies and inverted sugar cones. As big as it was, we managed to devour the entire thing.

It was totally gone in less than an hour and it was delish! Those turrets under the inverted ice cream cones were made of layers of brownies and caramel frosting. The rectangular walls between the turrets were loaves of pound cake layers with fudgy frosting, the spikes coming out of the top of the walls were caramel candies and the "gravel" on the top of the walls was made of toffee chips. It was something!

I made a castle for my dentist's daughter. It took me two days. It was well worth the time to see the look on her face when the cake came out.
