Cake Decorating Inspiration

Where do all of you talented decorators get your inspiration for the cakes you make? I've been looking back at all the cake photos in the "Post Your Cake Photos Here" topic and it get me to wondering where you come up with such creativity. Also, what do you feel is the most creative cake you've ever made?

I am not talented when it comes to cake decoration but I try every now and then. I think the most creative cake I tried was a Winnie the Pooh and friends cake. Needless to say, there are no pictures lol

Hi! I'm new to the group. I get my inspiration from my girls. They ask me "Mommy, can you make me a ----- cake for my birthday?" Then I just start mulling over the idea. Last year my yougest daughter wanted Ariel for her birthday. So I used one of her tiny doll sets and came up with the cake pictured.

Thanks Ladies! My 7y/o has changed her birthday theme like a dozen times, so I haven't a clue what we are doing for her birthday cake yet!
