Replying to ...
I know how you feel. My son is two and a half and has the same problem. I feel like I am repeating myself all the time. I read in a book called "Bringing Up Boys" that boys are like men in that they don't actually hear what we are saying. On idea the author gave was to touch your son and then tell him what you want him to do. I have tried it in the last week with my son and it seems to have helped.

Yes...I actually bend down to his lever (so I am not towering over him) and say "Look in my eyes" and then I tell him step by step what I want him to do "First take off your shirt, then put it in the dirty clothes basket, then get in the tub". I then ask him "What did mommy just tell you to do"? He repeats it and then gets side traked on the way to his room and starts looking at books and I start all over again....look at mommy's eyes...take your shirt off...etc. However, I find myself wanting to go in the closet and pull my hair out and scream as loud as I can sometimes, but I don't and just take a deap breath and so what if it takes two times instead of one...right....but it is still fustrating. Thanks for understanding and you are right...Life is what you make it....I get to choose...do I want this one little thing to be what I stress over or should I save my energy and stress for something that deserves it...like our taxes...right...but then again....Life is what you make it right?
