I have a 4 year old son and let me tell you....he is ALL boy! Listen...you have the mom thing down pat...you are on child number three...and you HAVE to trust your mommy instincts....you know you have them. This is a WONDERFUL time in your life....you are having a BABY BOY....I think a lot of the welcoming from the siblings will happen in a positive way if you do a lot of discussing prior to the little guy arriving. Though I only have one child, and don't plan on having any more, other friends of mine have told me that they have a different relationship with each one of thier children becasue they are individuals just like you and me. We are all different, so of course bringing a boy into the home is GOING to be different...but GOOD! As for the pain of the circumcission...for one..it MUST be done within 48 hours after the baby is born if you want your insurance to cover it (most of the time) otherwise...you pay for it out of your pocket. In regards to how you take care of it....the hospital wraps it up and gives you directions on what to do to keep it clean and from being infected. Can I say that the baby does not feel pain...I don't think I can...however to this day, my son has never mentioned to me that it hurt him when he was circumsised. Think back to stories that your mom told you that happened to you when you were a baby and you got hurt...do you remember. Point it...yes it will probably hurt, however no lasting side effects. Also...ALWAYS REMEMBER to have his little penis in the down position in the diaper, or you will have pee pee all over his clothes, (and you) and a dry diaper..that one took me a while to figure out.
