That is awsome, but in my situation I dont think keeping his attention is my problem. He would have violent outburst in school and therefore would not do anything at all but sit in a small room all alone at his own request. So now I have him in an enhanced behavioral class at a new school and,

HI dunnoyet, my 19 year old was diagnosed with ADD when he was 10. It took a while to figure out how to keep his attention. He always finished things in school quickly and wanted to know why others weren't done yet. I started supplying him with arts and crafts to do after tests and for quiet time.

I totally agree I wish I was able to, but he has an issue with people. Even his cousins he gets shy around and explodes into tantrums. I am trying to introduce him in more and more crowded situations but nothing I do seems to work . I dont understand why he is so afraid/shy or other people.

I'm sorry you are having such a difficult time. My son doesn't have ADHD or ODD but I do have a way to curb some of the hyperness that is all boy... Keep them busy and outside as much as possible. Kick ball, basketball, ball tag... etc. We are constantly outside playing.

Hi, my son is 7 year old going on teenager! I'm hoping to hear he's normal and just a boy and maybe get some support from this group. Sometimes I swear if he sighs or rolls his eyes one more time....! :)

Hi, as the only female in a house full of guys, I think this group is going to be a great resource! My sons are 5, 3, and 1. The boys are usually best of friends, but like all boys they have their moments!
