Hi - I am an almost 1 year survivor of Breast Cancer. I was diagnosed at age 39 before my first Mammogram. I found the lump myself and although the GYN was sure it was probably a cyst, when she couldn't aspirate it, she referred me to a breast surgeon who biopsied and diagnosed it.
Hi all. Well tomorrow is one week since my double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. I was diagnosed in August from my yearly mammogram with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in sitru) which is precancerous cells in the milk duct. Luckily caught very early from a screening mammogram.
Im very aware of this cause. I/ve meet many amazing people in the line of work i do. Some of whom have been given a second chance of life in which early detection always is the solution. Never hesitate always take the inniciative and get checked. Men also please its important. Tito
October is not only breast cancer awareness month, but it also marks my 2 year anniversary of being cancer free!
