When my boys each turned one we had a family party. They received a lot of clothes and toys, but the best gifts were the savings bonds for future college use. My oldest two are now reaping the benefits of those bonds. What was your favorite 1st birthday gift? What do you think are some great baby gift ideas?

Mine is close to yours...When my twins turned one, my parents opened a savings account for them and every birthday or Christmas they would deposit money into it. It sure added up over the years!
