With all the hype the movie is producing, how can we not have it as a topic? Have you read the books? Do you love them or hate them? Has anyone seen the movie and does it keep true to the book?

I've read the first 3 books. Haven't had time to read the 4th one. I enjoyed them. Haven't seen the movie though.... to many screaming teens for me, I'll wait until it comes out on DVD - LOL

Hello desurae. My name is Mel and I love these books. When the movie came out I just had to see what the big deal was, so I got the first book and fell in love with it. I'm just starting the 4th book now and I'm so excited (and a little sad too that it will be over soon).

As for the movie....I did go to see it. It followed the book pretty well, but I thought it was poorly done. It seemed cheesy to me. I was very disappointed. So when New Moon comes out I probably won't go see it, but I won't be able to resist renting it just to see how it is. :)

Can't believe there is only two messages on this topic...Come on ladies, I know there is more of us who are in love with Edward!!!! As for me... I bought all of the books when I saw the poster for the first movie. It is a book for teens and it is more about romance then vampire horror. There is some action, so it is not all just mushy...(is that a word???)
I saw the movie and bought the dvd for the extras and I'll probably watch the next one. Unfortunately I didn't finish the 4th book yet, I kinda got stuck in the middle of the 3rd one and dragged to start the last one. But is just me... They are very entertaining books.
