CARNIVAL THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY! (ANY IDEAS???)
LAtwinmom - January 22, 2009
I AM NOT LAST MINUTE! I STARTED PLANNING MY TWIN'S 5TH BIRTHDAY PARTY THE DAY FOLLOWING THEIR 4TH. I AM SO CLOSE! THE PARTY IS MARCH 8. I AM DESPERATELY SEARCHING FOR A TEMPLATE OR WEBSITE WHERE I CAN PRINT INVITATIONS THAT LOOK LIKE A TICKET TO A CARNIVAL. CAN ANYONE OFFER ANY SUGGESTIONS?? I LIKE TO SEND MY INVITATIONS OUT NO LESS THAN 3 WEEKS IN ADVANCE, SO I'M PRESSED FOR TIME. THIS IS A FIRST FOR ME. THANKS!

For my daughter's 10th I did a carnival party. I didn't do tickets for the invites, instead I did a really cute invite with a carnival booth in the front and the wording like a flyer in the back. To make the booth I just used my Printmaster software where you draw a shape- long brown rectange w/ 2 skinny rectangles pointing up on each side then for the awning I used rainbow striped scrapbooking paper I made a scalloped edge.I printed address labels that said carnival party w/ balloons border and placed these on the front of the "booth" If I can figure out how to post a picture I will.

It's me again! I also made prize tickets that said Claudia's Carnival on them. The kids used these at the end to get prizes (Chuck e Cheese style). It was a lot of fun!!

I went through my craft notebook last night and found this idea:
The invitations can be 'Admit One' tickets to your circus. You can cut them out or print them on red or orange construction paper. On the front write "Admit One" and on the back write all the needed party information. You can write things like "Ladies and Gentlemen, children of all ages, appearing one day only, (Name) Family Circus is in town!! See the amazing Billy as he attempts outrageous stunts such as... turning a year older, consuming impossible amounts of junk food, and of course, the fiery, death defying birthday candle blow!! RSVP to the Ringmaster", "Greatest Show on Earth", "We'll be Clownin' Around!!", etc.
