When did you know you were addicted to Disney?
Ministry_mom - December 05, 2008
When was that moment, when you thought, I think I'm addicted to Disney?

I have always loved Disney growing up. The moment I became truly addicted to Disney was when I started to take my own children to Disney World. To see the expression on their faces as they believe in the Magic that is Disney. The memories that we make each year keeps us smiling and looking forward to our next trip.

I loved Disney as a kid also but I never got to go. My first trip was with my family when my girls were very little. It was the beginning of September. Way too hot to be there. And it was only for one day. But everything was magical. My girls were stunded that the castle was real! And Cinderella remembered them when she saw them in 2 different places. I was hooked. I couldn't wait to go back. I cry when I get there and I cry when I leave. I am a little girl all over again.

I agree used to go in Sept. for free dining and it is way to hot!! Now we try to go in December just about every year but some years it gets pretty cold. Last year the weather was perfect the whole time we were there. I hope its that way this year.

Well I went to Disney World with a friends family the year that it opened and I've been in love with it ever since. But I guess I really knew I was an addict when I used to run around with my autograph book in hand as an adult before I had a kid. Now everbody I know and even some people I don't that have heard about us from mutual friends call me for help planning their vacation.

I have always adored everything Disney related. (Infact, my room as a baby was Disney-themed!) It seems that the older I get, the more in love I become with Disney. However, I realized that I have become addicted to it within the past year or two. Just the other day, I was shopping with a friend, and my eyes lit up as soon as we passed the Disney store. I literally pulled her into the store, and I spent the next 45 minutes having a blast in there! I just can't get enough disney in my life!

We were planning our Honey trip and we decided to go to Orlando. We did not stay at the Walt Disney resort, bad decision, but we were not so far away. I realized then that I was a grown kid and addicted to Disneyc. When there is a new movie I've got to see it.
We have a teenage boy and we are going back to Disney for the 4th time this summer. Can't wait to be there.

I am a Disney Addict. It was my first trip out of the tri-state area, first time on a plane. I was 22 in August I met my Prince Charming he swapped me off my feet at Thanksgiving he asked me to Marry him, at Christmas he took me to Disney World to bring in the New Year. At the time I did understand the whole Disney is WONDERFUL thing. I had no real interest in it and knew nothing about it. We landed in Orlando and took the Monorail to get Mears. Mears drove us through the entry of the WDW Resort then to our resort we stayed at Dixie Landings (now Port Orleans River Side). I still today get my breath taken away just talking about the first time I walked down Main Street USA. It was nothing I ever seen before beautifully decorated for the holiday with great smells and sounds. I honestly can not remember the first ride we took I think I was so high on DISNEY.

After returning to Pennsylvania I was hooked we spend every New Year at Disney world with other Disney trips in between until our daughter was born. We still go often just not always for New Years. Most of our mom and dad only vacations are during the Food and Wine Festival.

Hello, my name is Scott and I'm a Disneyaholic.

Growing up we never went to WDW so I never experienced it as a child. Through my teenage and young adult years I figured it would be such a hassle with the travel, the expenses, and the crowds that it was never a priority to go, in fact when it would come up in conversation, I would make it a point to let people know that I would never go to a Disney theme park as long as I lived.

Fast forward a few years with a trip to Sarasota to visit my wifes grandmother where I was talked into taking a day trip to the Magic Kingdom with my wife and then 2 year old daughter. Well, it didn't take very long after seeing the look on my daughters face to know I was hooked. That was back in 2000. We've been back 8 times since then and have added another member to the family who has the same look in his eyes every time we go. We have also become the unofficial Disney travel experts of our family and friends who know to come and talk to us to find out the latest and greatest things to do and not do at WDW.

So that's how I became a Disneyaholic. It gets a little rough between fixes, but it's not so bad. Good thing we are going again in December.

I think when I went in my first Disney store at the shopping mall. I probably spent two hours in there going through all the different things. Once I found the website, I was on there all the time. So much cool stuff.... so little time. ;-)
