BEST DISNEY RESTAURANTS
flophasit - January 08, 2009
Which restaurants are the best at the four theme parks? I'm going in June and DRAGGING my husband along. My daughter is excited but I'm thinking of leaving the husband home, he isn't a Disney fan and I am. I want to move to Florida just to be closer to DISNEY!!! I'm wondering how to pull that one off - any ideas would be helpful - LOL.

So, I'm considering the following for dining on the PLUS DINING plan offered for our vacation:
CORAL at Epcot
Luau Show Dining at Polynesian
San Angel at Epcot or it may be Sci-Fi at Hollywood Studios
Hollywood & Vine for the Fantasmic Show (my favorite show)
Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney
Tusken House Character Buffet at Animal Kingdom

Having problems discovering where to eat for Quick Services (2) at Magic Kingdom, any ideas? I also want to know if there are any quick services that would be recommended at any other theme parks that are good. I was considering doing the T-Rex Cafe in Downtown since it is new or maybe the Yakitori House (Japan) at Epcot or even eat in Germany??? I also want to eat the "KITCHEN SINK" over at Beaches and Creams - sounds fun and interesting!!!! I also like the sound of Ghirandelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop - and comments on this spot??? I look forward to anyone's responses. I love photo's too.

How old is your daughter? My Hubby and I ate at Ohana at the Polynisian and LOVED it!!! We vowed then and there to bring the girls to that restaurant the next time we go down! The food was phenomenal!!! The entertainnment was awesome!!!

The Tusker House Breakfast Buffet was great! The girls loved it! My Hubby, being a Donald Duck fanatic made this a necessary dining stop! We do this one every time we go, though it used to be over at the Restaurantosaurus(however you spell that~~ in Dinoland).

We always eat in Germany at the Beirgarten(it takes a sit down meal on the Dining Plan), always delish! Sommerfest is great for counter service dining.

Never been to Coral~~~ but my sister in law loved it and said the food was great.

England was great for a counter service. We had the fish and chips! Also The American Pavillion was good for burger and stuff like that for a counter service.

I could go on, but I'm having a bit of a brain fart now and can't even remember anymore restaurants... and we just got back less that a month ago!!!

Oh, the picture is of my Mai Tai at Ohana at The Polynisian! I know a silly thing to take a picture of... but I couldn't believe how big they were... and delish!!!

2 good quick services at Magic Kingdom are The Columbia Harbour House( they have good fish and chips, and a nice salad, plus other items), the other place is The Plaza very good sandwiches and killer desserts. At Animal Kingdom is Flame tree bbq, Epcot we like the Electric Umbrella. in downtown disney we love Earl of Sandwich excellent roast beef sandwiches. Hollywood studios we like backlot express. any other questions leave anote for me.

I love the Moose (lol)!!! I heard great reviews on Le Celliar. I think it takes two table services. I've exhausted all my table services for this vacation but may consider it in the future. Thanks for the info. :)

I heard the Columbia Harbour House was a good selection for a "quick service" meal. I'll give that one a try this time around. I'll add it to my itenary. I haven't heard of the Plaza and I'm not familar with but LOVE the desserts. Is Flame Tree a counter service - if you know off hand? I need one counter service for Animal Kingdom - I have one Table service already (Tusker House Character Breakfast).

You also gave me a little confirmation on backlot studios that I needed....for a potential backup. I'm doing two tables at Hollywood Studios (Sci-Fi Dine In Theater & Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic Show).

Thanks for sharing your info and pics!

I have a question about restaurants that do the Character Breakfasts.. We were in DW last January 2008. We did the breakfast in the Animal Kingdom Park (Can't remember the name of the restaurant) and the characters all had a *safari* theme.. I've heard that The Crystal Palace is amazing~ but do they only have the Pooh characters?

My daughter is 15. This will be our first experience at the Tusker house and we are looking forward to it. The same for the Coral Restraunt. :)

What type of entertainment does the Ohana have? I went to the Luau Show at the Polynesian and that was the absolute best show ever. It had fire dancer's, hula girls and much more. The food was so fresh and I believe it was Hawaiian or Tropical Food. YUM! We went to one of the evening shows and we all received Leigh's (?) and our glasses glowed (ice inside).

Love the Mai Tai pic. YUMMY!

Thanks for some ideas on the counter services too. :)
