These will be adorable! Have you seen Ed Emberly's book on thumbprint art? He shows how to let your kids make all kinds of creatures using thumbprints and fineline markers. The Kindergarten teachers took class photo (here take a photo of all your kids) enlarge the print, 5x7 and get and 8x10 mat at the dollar store. Let the kids do finger prints, and 'help' them make the fingerprints into animals, insects, etc. Put in an acrylic frame and send to Grandma and Grandpa!

This year I'm gonna get solid red balls and get my children to make thumbprint snowmen on them. My youngest son did it in his class last year and this year I would love to have a keepsake from all of them.

oh i love the rudolph! ....my idea is a snowman...take two small paper plates..glue them together....then i take cotton balls and fill up both paperplates with them and glue them on so the plates are completely covered with cotton balls....take raisins for eyes and glue them...use black felt or black construction paper..and make a top hat...or whatever kind of hat you want to put on your snowman..be creative.....for the nose i use a button(any kind)....for the mouth.....you can either draw it on..or paste on some funky lips you found in a magazine,on the computer, etc... for a scarf...i use a piece of fabric i have laying around and i cut it out and glue it on......arms are two small twigs glued on........and there is your snow man.....
