Tomato Paste
Catherine_schrader - August 14, 2008
Ever get those terrible stains on your aluminum pots and pans, the kind that no ammount of scrubbing will get out. Well, I have the perfect solution...tomato paste. I had a pot that I scrubbed nearly to death trying to get stains from various dishes out of....and nothing worked. One night, I got the flu after making a pot of chili and went straight to be with out doing the dishes....the next day when I went to rinse out the pot (and the remaining chilli that I didn't put away)....it was sparkling and shiny....apparently tomato paste is an acid and will eat those stains right up.

What a great tip. I'm sure tomato sauce would do the same right? Maybe I'll try it if I have a terrible stain that doesn't want to come out.
