Description
A chewy chocolate cookie loaded with milk chocolate chips and cherries with hot fudge sauce drizzled on top. This is an especially fun cookie to make with your family as kids love placing the marshmallows on top and pouring the hot fudge over each cookie!
Ingredients
2 cups flour
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup (2 sticks) slightly firm butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2/3 cup sour cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped maraschino cherries
approx 2 cups mini marshmallows
jar of your favorite hot fudge sauce

1 1/2 cups sugar

2/3 cup sour cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped maraschino cherries
approx 2 cups mini marshmallows
jar of your favorite hot fudge sauce
Directions
Mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and baking soda together.
In a separate bowl, on medium speed, beat the butter until creamed. Add the sugar slowly and mix until smooth. Add eggs one at a time and beat until mixed. Mix in sour cream and vanilla until thoroughly combined.
On low speed, mix in the dry ingredients slowly until thoroughly combined.
Fold in chocolate chips and cherries.
Preheat oven to 350* and line cookie sheets with either baking parchment paper or silicone baking sheets. Using a #24 cookie/ice cream scoop (equivalent of 2 1/2 Tbl) drop cookie dough onto cookie sheets, flattening slightly.
Bake cookie about 10 minutes, or until the tops are just beginning to set. Remove from oven and lightly push 5 marshmallows into the tops of each cookie.
Place cookies back into the oven and bake an additional 2-4 minutes, until the marshmallows are soft and beginning to toast and the cookie tops are set(watch the cookies carefully making sure that the marshmallows do not melt).
Remove cookies from oven and drizzle the hot fudge sauce over each cookie. Now just sit back and enjoy!
Makes about 4 dozen cookies
