Pregnancy Alert: Boy Oh Boy

I found this helpful Thank You! Your vote will be tallied soon!

As previously alluded to, I am currently "in the family way" and in just about everyone else's way, with my rapidly expanding belly.  Behind door #1, I've been advised, waits boy #2.  Actually I didn't require extensive medical expertise to get this information.  As I readied for the 20 week sonogram, WE told the technician that WE wanted to know the baby's gender if it cooperated.  This was a victory in itself, as with my first pregnancy, my husband had momentary and annoying delusions that he would keep himself in the dark until the birth.  Moments after the technician whispered the results to me in the hallway and I returned to the room, my husband was visibility agitated and seemed to be jumping around a bit.  "What is it?! What is it?" He demanded.  "Ah come on Brian", I said, "you'll find out in 20 weeks!  What a fun surprise!".  "Come on...", he pleaded, shifting tactics.  I gave in and told him we were having a boy.    "I knew it", he said authoritatively (obviously).

This time, the second the technician put the transponder on my abdomen, the screen lit up with the image of baby parts... in the shape of a W.  As in Leg Left, Leg Right and Not a Girl.  This one was clearly anxious to correct any misconception that he was a girl, as he had apparently heard me suggest in the weeks prior.  To be fair, I said it "might be a girl", which is about as bold a statement as is wise in our male-gene dominated families.
