Holiday traditions, Thanksgiving recipes, top Christmas gifts

My friends throw rocks at me every chance they get. Here's a typical scenario:

I walk into their homes for a holiday event with a fabulous looking dessert. Everyone starts "oohing" and "ahhing". They ask me how I possibly had time to prepare this beautiful platter of cookies/brownie trifle/tray of baklava when I just got off work. I reply smugly, "Don't you know about my indentured servant? Teen in Line?"

Let the rock slinging begin!

Of course, since I didn't even purchase my… Read More

Baby Gifts: Clothing For The Bottom Half

Posted December 07, 2007

To help find a unique gift for the baby who has everything, I'm going to feature some of my favorite products over the next week. To start, I'd like to cover clothing. Unlike older kids, babies and toddlers are still too young to rip open a box and then whine, "Not clothes! I wanted a toy!" Yo Santa,

You're a dude, help me out. The kids are running around making noise and my wife's off spending my hard-earned cash on Christmas presents. Can you cut a guy a break and hook me up with some cool gifts this season to try and take the edge off?

Here are a few suggestions for me and other Dads in general:

For the Dad that reeeeeeeeally doesn't want to carry his wife's Read More

Where to Buy Handmade Holiday Gifts

Posted December 06, 2007
Posted by: BuckeyeChristy
OK, so even though I insisted that everyone has the ability to be crafty, some will still insist that their natural talents can in no way be shaped into a gift for someone. In that case, I recommend buying a one-of-a-kind handmade gift. Now is the time of year for the thousands of craft fairs being held in every school gymnasium and county fairgrounds across the country, where it's hard to not find something for everyone on your list.… Read More
