On Saturday night, we had our first-annual Mandajuice Christmas party and if I can be so bold as to toot my own horn (which, you know, isn't so hard being a blogger and all), it was a lot of fun. Part of that can be attributed to my absolute LOVE for party-planning, but most of it is because we have such awesome friends and any time we get to spend with them is time well spent.

I always try and pick a DVD or two to stick into the stockings each year. This year, there's a great selection of new movies recently released to pick from:
For the Kids:
Ratatouille , which came out this week (November 6th) - Disney's latest about a rat from the country who finds himself in Paris restaurant helping a human chef cook. It's cute and fun - appropriate for all ages.

One of my favorite blogs about fashion is The Budget Fashionista. If you don't know about The Budget Fashionista or don't read her blog, here's why I'm a fan: The Budget Fashionista is Kathryn Finney and she's NOT a size 2 or a millionaire. She's just a normal person who loves fashion and has a lack of cash. Kathryn's down-to-earth approach is the reason why I love her tips and ideas and I am a faithful reader of… Read More

We're lucky enough to live within a 15-minute drive of the second biggest mall in America, King of Prussia. It's actually two very large malls that are side-by-side, connected by a path. And presumably, if they ever enclosed the path, the one giant mall it would form would make it bigger than the Mall of America.
But you guys get the point -- it's two very large malls that have just about everything I could ever need shopping-wise inside. … Read More

I'm sure you've seen the news stories about all of the toy
recalls due to lead paint. It seems like nearly anything plastic
is worth casting suspicion at now. I've had to throw out several
of our toys due to recalls, and I worry that others in the toy
box will eventually find their way to the recall lists,
too.
