Hi! Welcome to my blog here on Family.com! My name is Mary Wise -- WiseBozo -- and I'll be your blogger today. Try the veal! Oh, wait a minute ...

Okay, allow me to introduce myself. I'm a baby boomer, an aging hippie, a wife, a mom, a daughter. I was born, raised and still live in the suburbs of Washington, D.C.

I've been married for almost 27 years; my husband Joe and I have raised one son, Patrick. He's a police officer -- a choice of profession that still amazes us. I mean, two hippies raised a cop? How'd that happen?

Before I met my husband, I was a circus clown. I graduated from the Ringling Brothers Clown College in 1975 and worked on several small circuses for three years after that. Yes, you read that right: a circus clown. Don't be scared! I don't put on the makeup anymore, but I retain a sense of the absurd and a deep desire to see the humor and joy in life. In a nutshell, I like to have fun.

And that's the focus of this blog. I'm going to be writing about activities, entertainment, products and services that are all designed to help you have fun, whether you're by yourself, with your spouse or significant other, with your friends, and with your kids.
