My Office Toys
I believe that everyone who works in a cubicle needs a good set of office toys. I couldn't survive without mine.
My office toys help me think. After all, the ability to solve complex problems is a valuable skill -- hence, my Rubik's cube.
Sometimes I need to disengage my brain and let my creative side kick in. When I'm stuck, I grab a few sticky notes or a candy wrapper and do some origami. I'll fold a flower or a crane or a geometric sculpture.
Of course, I keep a set of juggling balls handy. If I need a longer break, I grab them and head outside to the nearby park to juggle for a half hour. It clears my head and refreshes my spirit.
I stop that mid-afternoon drop in blood sugar in its tracks with a tasty snack from my trusty Pez dispenser. When I need to blow off a little steam, the Popping Eyeball comes to my rescue. Or, I load up my pig catapult and fire away.
If I have to tackle a particularly thorny issue, I gaze at my ninja warrior and let him come to my rescue before I say or do something I'll regret.
Finally, my combination camera and juice box reminds me to never take things at face value.
So there you have it -- my office toy collection and how I use them. How about you? Tell me about your toys!
