My MOO Cards
When you hear "MOO", you probably think of a cow.
I think of mini-business cards.
I use Flickr, a popular photo sharing site. I saw a promotion on the site for MOO, so I decided to check it out.
I like it!
MOO enables you to produce swell little cards from your stored photos. It's integrated with several photo-sharing websites, but you can also upload your photos from your computer directly to MOO.
First, I selected photos from my Flickr library: a sunset, a sunrise, the cover of my cheesy novel, and a beignet and coffee.
Second, I used MOO's tool to crop each photo to 1 by 2.75 inches - about half the size of a business card. Fear not; the right size is built in. Then I previewed the results.
Third, I personalized the back of each card with my blog address and my Flickr avatar. (You can specify just about whatever you want.)
Fourth, I ordered my box of 100 cards, 25 of each photo, for $19.95 plus shipping.
Easy-peasy. You can see the results over there on the right.
There's a good FAQ page and a blog that contains great ideas for using your MOO cards, from art projects to promotion to passing them out to all your friends and relatives.
My cards arrived in about two weeks. Not bad, given that they shipped from England!
The cards are printed on nice heavy stock and the colors are perfect. I'll be printing more, for sure!
