I'm A Sucker for Happy Endings

I found this helpful Thank You! Your vote will be tallied soon!

This afternoon I indulged myself. I watched three movies that always make me tear up. Well, actually, I watched the ends of two movies and all of one - but the ends are best parts!

I turned on the tube and there it was - the last 30 minutes of Moonstruck, one of my favorite romantic comedies ever. I came in on the part where Loretta (Cher) goes to the opera with Ronny (Nicholas Cage). The parts that make me cry? When Ronny implores Loretta to come to his apartment, declaring his love for her. Another part that puts a lump in my throat is the part when Loretta's mom tells her dad, "Ti amo".

After that movie ended, I clicked up the TV Guide and there was Apollo 13! There was about an hour left in this drama. I tell you, even though I know that everything ends well (history being what it is), I bawl like a baby when the astronauts make contact after coming through the intersection. I tell you, I'm like a faucet.

Then I chanced upon Rocky, just starting. What could I do but watch? Several scenes get me going in this one: the scene where Rocky first kisses Adrian, the scene where Rocky makes it up the steps, and - naturally - the last scene where he yells for Adrian.

Sigh.

I love crying at happy endings. Tell me now; which happy endings make you cry?
