Soft shoes for developing feet

The first pair of shoes I bought for my oldest son were completely adorable, but totally inappropriate for him.  I think he was only something like 5-6 months old and I was browsing in a local shoe store when I spotted the cutest pair of Timberland's on sale, available in a small size.  They looked like little hiking boots.  I went ahead and bought them and started putting them on his feet for fun at like 7 months.  I received several compliments on them before one none-of-her-business (albeit right) mother informed me that they were inappropriate shoes for a baby of his age.

I did a quick Google search and learned the following:  Infants and babies who are learning how to cruise and eventually walk need to wear soft-soled shoes.  They are the best shoes for your kids to be wearing - hard soled shoes can apply the wrong pressure to baby's growing foot and cause problems with the development of their feet.  So I quickly switched to soft-soled for my oldest, although at the time I didn't know much about brands and we didn't end up getting many pairs.

Now that I know better, I'm already prepared with tons of soft-soled shoes for the baby.  Which includes several pairs from PediPeds, because not only are they appropriately soft-soled for the baby (and comfy) but they are so very cute looking.  I've never been a big fan of the soft-soled shoes with little creatures or graphics on them, which is why I'm a fan of the PediPeds, they are more generic looking (and stylish, in this blogger's humble opinion.) and go with all sorts of outfits.

Use coupon code mws3 for free shipping on the PediPed website.  They recently launched a new spring line so check it out.
