Lexie Barnes Darling diaper bag: one of my favorites
1 |
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of my Lexie Barnes Darling. I've reviewed and blogged about it a number of times in the past on my own site. Out of dozens of diaper bags that hang in my closet, my Lexie Barnes Darling is that one "staple" that I always return to.
I have three. Lexie changes up the patterns every now and then so if you get tired of the old fabric, you can order a new one. I'm currently carrying the Viona print in the Darling. (pictured). This latest update to the Darling includes a hidden pocket at the top that is nice to stash something small (keys, lipstick, small wallet?)
Here's what I love about the Darling:
The mesh pockets. I'm obsessed. I need two on every bag I carry, one on each side. I currently use one side for a water bottle for me and the other for a sippy cup for my oldest. Once the baby's old enough to use a sippy I'm sure the three of us will duke it out. Although technically, I could probably fit a sippy and a water bottle into one - that's the beauty of mesh, it's so pliable. And the top of the pocket is adjustable, you can tighten the top to hold your bottle more securely if you like.
The strap flexibility. It's a messanger-style bag, but there are two little clips that you can attach to the back of a stroller if you'd like.
The size. It's not too big. I'm all about the smallest possible diaper bag with the most efficiency for packing. This bag was a big one for me with my oldest in the toddler years. And I figured I wouldn't be able to use it once I had baby (more packing needs) but somehow I've made it work. It has a nice deep middle section that seems to fit all my needs. Plus there's extra pockets inside for all sorts of needs - diapers, wipes, extra set of clothes, etc.
I recently reviewed her new backpack, the Duchess, on Mommies with Style. If you want to buy the backpack, the Darling, or any of her other products, you can use coupon code DUCHESS for free shipping.
