No more sippy cup confusion
It's amazing how much things have changed since I was single. When I was single, I was responsible for only one.
Doctor's appointment? Who needs a date book when I have my head.
Groceries? A 1/2 lb of turkey at the deli counter and it lasted all week.
Whose cup is this? (Whose else would it be, but mine?)
Oh, how times have changed. My latest "change" has come in this issue -- and the need for labeling. Labeling items for school, labeling items at home. I seem to be putting our name on everything these days.
For sippy cups, I found a great product for this. I recently ordered several labels from InchBug. They sell these BumpyName Orbit labels that are fantastic. They're made out of a stretchy plastic and they fit over any sippy. You personalize them with your child's name and a cute icon and you'll never again have a sippy cup mix up.
Why is this so great?
For one, I love this for when we go to the gym. The kids aren't allowed food but they are allowed to bring in water when I go to work out. And it only takes about 5 seconds before some kid who has the same sippy picks up my child's sippy cup and starts to drink out of it. And did I mention that with our luck, more often than not, that child has a nasty case of hand-foot-mouth-lice-flu-stomach-bug-cold all in one? And then my child picks up his sippy and proceeds to get all of his germs. With the Bumpy Label, this at least cuts down on sippy mix-up at day cares and preschool. Before, with school, I had to write our name with a Sharpie on every cup. Now I just use these labels.
Beyond those places, it's great at home. With two kids, we always have two drinks going at any given time. And now that baby is moving into sippy cup and straw cup land, there are many times that both boys are confused over which cup belongs to whom. Which was especially un-fun when my oldest would pick up a sippy full of formula and take a big sip... or the baby would take a big sip of juice.
So now my oldest, at least, knows that the "blue" ones are for him and the "green" ones for little brother. (And he also knows both of their names so if he's so inclined, he can read the names on the labels.)
I can't recommend this product enough. All of my friends have also ordered and love having them.
It's $12.95 for a package of 4 labels. Use coupon code MWS9157 for free shipping on orders over $30.
