Hands on red/triangle/cow

Our so-called-fun weekend at the shore over Memorial Day weekend ended like this: a sore throat for me; a sinus headache and ear ache for my husband; a sinus infection, double ear infection and pink eye in both eyes for my 3 year old, and a double ear infection for the baby.  No joke.

Oh - and the icing on that fun-filled cake:  Monday night, my husband flew off to Texas for a two day work trip.

So all that sickness meant no preschool, and no fun park trips and us holed away at home keeping our germs isolated from the outside world.  I took one trip out to Walmart to fill all the various prescriptions needed, and I ended up in the toy aisle.  I figured if that was the last of my "other people" contact for several days, I better find some means of entertaining us all.  I picked up this Hullabaloo Amazing Animal Adventure game by Cranium for my oldest.

We are having a blast with it.  Craninum "'pads" get placed around the floor in front of the tv, and a fun little DVD instructs the kids where to go. It's kind of a Twister-meets-educational value-meets-creativity kind of game.  The "host" tells the kids which pad to go on - whether it's by color, animal or shape.  My son loves it, I had fun playing it with him and even the baby had a laugh watching us.

You can buy it online at Amazon, where it's listed for $21.42.  But check out your local Walmart.  I got it there for $12.99.
