We put together our latest Svan product in our house over the weekend -- the Svan Chair.  I'm a huge fan.  It's adjustable to several stages of your child's life.  We put it together for the baby in the infant setting, 6 months plus.  I'm already obsessed. 

It's got a sleek, clean design in a chair made of solid wood.  It may remind you of something you'd see at IKEA, which is not surprising as Svan's a Swedish company.  Svan's products are all very sturdy and extremely functional.

It grows with you
The chair's adjustable - it can be used for an infant, toddler and up to preteen.  There's even an adult setting where it turns into a simple chair.  I honestly don't know of a high chair with more functionality.  Both the seat and foot rest are adjustable.  You can set the foot rest up high for baby legs that are hanging down, or lower for a toddler or preschool age child to use as a stepping stool to climb into the chair.

It comes with a tray and plastic tray cover for babies.  The plastic part pops right off for wipe down and washing in the dishwasher.  (We haven't been using the wooden part of the tray - because although you can wipe it down, it's just like any wooden piece of furniture so you don't want it constantly wet.  I figure why even bother and just snap the plastic part on each time.)

And they definitely know what they are doing with design.  The tray has a little lip all around the outside, meaning spills and messy food doesn't fall onto baby and on the floor (unless it gets thrown, and that's of course not the chair's fault.)

I also love that they have so many color options.  For the base of the chair, they have five different wood stain options ranging from whitewash to espresso.  And for the chair padding, select from nine different colors.  They have a nifty little color selection tool too so you can play around with each combo and see what would fit in your house.

Svan makes some other great products too.  We have the Scooter, which has provided countless hours of fun, and the Bouncer.

Okay and as far as pricing for high chairs go, this one's not an up front bargain.  But considering the years of use you can get out of this product, I think it's more than worth the money.
