So Mattel posted the latest recall: Some 9 million toys in the U.S. are being recalled due to a magnet that can dislodge and be swallowed by babies, and one of the toys may have dangerous levels of lead paint in it. Some of the toys included are Polly Pocket, Barbie and Batman.

My kitchen is a sty. On any given moment, you can find a
stack of papers that could include: pieces of preschool artwork,

I tried to be one of those scrapbooking Moms. I
really did. My friends' scrapbooks are so beautiful;

Yesterday was a big day for us. The baby had surgery to
have ear tubes placed in his ears. He'll be 9 months old this
Thursday, and I couldn't help but feel like he was so innocent
and little -- too little to be already undergoing surgery
(although, simple and routine - "surgery" is surgery to me.
