You know it's tough, when a SAHM has a bad case of Monday!

I found this helpful Thank You! Your vote will be tallied soon!

Some days are an oxymoron, just waiting to happen!

It started out as a typical Monday.

"Good bye, love you, have a great day...kiss-kiss...did you brush your teeth?!?"

The morning reeked of normalcy and I was waiting for the other shoe to fall.

"Hello, gorgeous..."

I quickly turned towards the answering machine, not quite sure who it was meant for, and couldn't wait to hear, you know, the rest of the message.

"...I forgot my keys again and...um...I'm sorry and hate to do this to you, but I need you to bring them to me and I can't get into my desk, until you do."

Silence.

"But, if you're busy, I can always come home and get it."

Have you ever had one of those days - you know, like today - when it seems as if you're doing something, anything, and everything, except it isn't necessarily what you thought, planned or even wanted to do, in the first place?

"You guys really have a way of throwing extra stuff onto my work pile!"

Silence.

"I'll be there in a few."

I grabbed his keys, put on my other shoe and slammed the door on my way out.

"Stay-at-home mom, my foot!"

Gone are the days when I can turn off the phone, or turn on the television, and just sit, or play with the kids, and watch the world pass by our front door - much faster than the posted 25 mph, by the way! - like this morning.

"I need ten dollars - you have to sign this - I need to buy a lunch - you forgot to sign this!"

No - today was not a good day - especially, not this morning.

"I'm here, in the parking lot, next to your car, you want me to come in?"

Silence.

I turned off the ignition, turned down the volume on the radio and was about to say something else into my cell phone, until.

"Hello, gorgeous..."

My husband opened the passenger door, reached in, grabbed me (just below the waist) and kissed me, right there, you know, in front of everyone.

"...thanks, oh and have a nice day!"

Just goes to show you - although, we all have our good days and bad days, it can always be better - perhaps there are those times, when it pays, not to stay home!
