This blogging carnival rocks!
Keeping up with our busy schedules - my time-management skills aren't what they used to be - it quickly became clear to me (judging by numerous phone calls regarding failed committments) there just wasn't enough room on our calendar.
So, I made my own.
It's worked well for keeping track of our time and dates for the kids' sports and after school activities - as long as I remember to, you know, write them in - but, did very little in helping me understand just where, exactly, did the time go and/or what in the world did they we I do, all day!?!?
What?
We have to be where, tomorrow!?!?
So, my four children and I conduct a little ritual, every first day of the new month - we all stand in front of our wall calendar and pleasantly reminisce over the activities and events of the passing month. Or, if it happened to be a particularly stressful one (as in nearly the entire month of January and most of February, too) we look forward to the promise of better days to come and kiss...the...month...gooooood-bye!
It's a neat way to celebrate each other's accomplishments, milestones and perhaps inspire a little hope for tomorrow, because - although, we can't bring back yesterday - all they have to do is simply turn the page.

Works-for-me-Wednesday is a blog carnival (that concept is explained here and here) and brainchild of a good ol' Southern girl and her blog, Rocks in My Dryer.
Basically, the idea is that on Wendesday, you post a little tip you've learned -- whether on parenting, or cleaning, or computers...basically, anything that has "worked for you" in making your life easier.
