Pattern Roundup: Zeebee Hat

This installment of the Pattern Roundup brings you a pattern that is hot off my test needles.
A hat that knits up very quickly and is very interesting-ly. The Zeebee pattern from Schmeebot is a hat worked in garter stitch. This hat offers a nice change to your standard cylindrical, in-the-round head topper. This little mind bender is worked from side to side and the crown is shaped with short rows.
I love the pattern because it's interactive - other than advising you to use a worsted to bulky gauge, the pattern will generate all of your individual numbers (both from your gauge swatch and your target head size) to create a pattern that will knit perfectly to your measurements. Don't you love it when that happens?
I held a worsted weight wool yarn double to get a bulky gauge and incidentally finished this hat in just a few days of sporadic knitting time. Give it a shot - i guarantee it will keep your interest and look fetching on any of your loved ones (any size, this pattern can handle it!)
Free pattern is here - have fun!
