Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries
3 |
Set into a pretty liner, these strawberries look like fine confections.
Tomorrow is Mother's Day and you don't have a gift, or you do, but you'd like something extra. Last minute is no problem with these. Chocolate-dipped strawberries are pretty, classy and easy to do.
Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries
20 or so clean, dry strawberries with top intact
1/2 lb semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
Place chocolate in the top of a double-boiler or a heat-proof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Stir chocolate until melted, about 5 minutes.
Line a cookie sheet or tray with waxed paper or parchment paper.
Dip strawberries, one at a time, into the melted chocolate. These can also be dipped into nuts or sprinkles once they are coated in chocolate. Set on paper lined tray and chill for 20 minutes until set. Longer than an hour in the refrigerator will cause condensation on the strawberries, so be careful not to overdo it.
Place strawberries into a lined box or pretty mini-cupcake liners if you're giving as a gift.
