In today's health-conscious world new "healthy" products are aimed at us like a beacon. You can't open a magazine or turn on a TV without seeing an ad for something else to help us on our way to eating healthier. One of the bigger challenges is gaining health without losing flavor.
How about an 'oldie but a goodie' to add to your healthy food repertoire? One product my cabinet is never without is Mrs. Dash. Mrs. Dash seasoning blends are something my family has used for years. It adds a burst of flavor with no calories, sodium or fat. What other product does all that? While we enjoy the entire line of Mrs. Dash, our favorite is Garlic and Herb. We love it on bagels with cream cheese, steamed or sautéed veggies, soups, stews, salads; just about everything.
Check out the website at www.mrsdash.com. There are 13 flavors of the original blend, 4 grilling blends and 6 marinades. The site has everything; recipes, a newsletter, contests and promotions, a monthly menu, cooking tips and more!
Here's a recipe to get you started.
Italian Seasoned Green Beans
1 lb fresh green beans, cleaned
2-3 T olive oil
1 T Mrs. Dash Garlic and Herb Seasoning
Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil, Mrs. Dash and green beans.
Saute until the beans are tender-crisp. Add salt to taste and serve.
