Mommy Tag necklace

Holidays are about giving.  GIving of yourself and giving from the heart are the best ways to show those you love how much you really care.  Here are some ideas for some gifts that are unique and very much from the heart.

Mommy Tags Remembrance Tag:  I am a huge fan of MOMMY TAGS silver necklaces and bracelets.  I think Mommy Tags make a perfect gift (hint hint) for any mom or dad.  But this year, the company also offers a Remembrance Tag---to remember those that are still with us always but not with us everyday.  I am so blessed to have so many good people in my life but I miss my mom and dad daily, even at age 44.  It would be so special to have a necklace like this with their birthdays on it, so that I could "wear" them everyday.  I would really love it and I think those of you out there that have lost people you love would find comfort in this.

Pay It Forward - Give a "Courage" blanket directly to a Woman with Breast Cancer
Another one of my favorite stores and product lines has just given me one more reason to love them.  My favorite store Affirmagy.com just started a new "Pay It Forward" initiative in October that allows you to donate a "Courage" blanket directly to a women who is fighting breast cancer via their website.  All you have to do is click and the donated blanket goes directly to a hospital where the women who needs it is staying.  This is a great gift idea to donate via the "Pay It Forward" on behalf of a loved one or your family.  It's a great way to give of yourself and make a difference, which is wonderful to do all year round.

Uptown Liz - "Where Shopping GIves Back"
Another new favorite website of mine is called Uptown Liz.  Uptown Liz specializes in unique gifts with a message or a cause. Uptown Liz was founded to promote products from companies whose proceeds directly give back to charitable organizations.  You can search by cause or product, with the knowledge that every time you link to a company and make a purchase, you are truly making a difference.  Their mission is to build a bridge between compassionate consumers and concerned companies.  Uptown Liz calls it  "retail philanthropy".  Isn't that great?
