We've been hit hard lately by birthdays.  It's hard to buy for kids sometimes because most of the already have so many of the cool games and gadgets.  One way to solve this kid gift dilemma is to forget all the cool gadgets and think RETRO!

My friends Janice and Susan are twin sisters that own two online stores and founded the excellent site 5 Minutes for Mom.  5 Minutes for Mom is one of my favorite resources for cool new blogs and shopping finds.  Janice, Susan and their mom Joan operate their online stores, Pedal Cars and Retro Collectibles and A Rocking Horse to Love as a family.   If you're stumped for ideas for summer birthdays, check out these stores.  Retro is way cool and it's a great way to get the kids out from behind a video or computer screen!
