"Grandad, I can count to 71 in French. One, 71. That's French!"

So, I promised you that I would share some of our girls' famous quotes. Here are some of the more memorable ones...

While making paper chains together for Daddy's birthday decorations...

Princess in Waiting (Age 6 1/2): Why don't you let me help you, so we do it right, OK? You get the red strip of paper, and I'll tape 'em.

Princess in Waiting Even Longer (Age 3 1/2): Well, uh, I already learned how to do this and Blah, Blah, Blah...

PIW: (exasperated): Why do you always say, "and Blah, Blah, Blah...?"

PIWEL: (equally as exasperated): Because I've already done it, and Blah, Blah, Blah...

* * * * *

Daddy: Hey! We - don't - spit!

Princess in Waiting Even Longer (Age 3): Yeah, but we should try and say lots of mean things to monsters! (?)

* * * * *

From the next Aristotle...

Princess in Waiting (Age 5): Are we all just God's imagination? Maybe we're just God's big Polly Pocket toy.

* * * * *

Princess in Waiting (Age 5): That's my two favorite things to do: wondering (as in asking questions) and coloring with markers.

* * * * *

PIW (Age 5): We can jump higher on the moon because there's less gravel there.

* * * * *

While watching a TV show about leopards...

PIW (Age 5): Daddy, I have something really bad to tell you.

Daddy: (fearing the worst...) Oh? What's that?

PIW: The leopards...? They were eating bunnies! (Her face takes on a look of extreme disappointment, as if the leopards have let her down and joined the ranks of hyenas and foxes.)

PIW: (with head bowed and in a soft, mournful voice) And they'll be doing that - forever.

* * * * *

Daddy: Hi, what are you coloring?

PIWEL (Age 5) Baby Jesus.

Daddy: (pointing to many colorful objects) What's all that other stuff?

PIWEL: Oh! It's Baby Jesus in Candyland!

Daddy: Oh, my!

PIWEL: Joseph is chocolate. Mary is blue icing. The stable is a pink lollipop. The wreaths are mint, and Jesus is a lemon bar!

(Oh, my!)

* * * * *

At 7 am every morning for about three weeks in a row...

PIWEL (Age 2): Can I have a jelly bean?

And right after breakfast, many mornings...

PIWEL (Ages 2 to 3): Can I have ice cream sandwich?

(in her dreams...!)
