There's order in chaos. Who knew?

"In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order." ~ Carl Jung.

I discovered these words in one of my daily e-mails from Real Simple magazine.  I usually don't like daily inspirational quotes, but the Real Simple e-mail delivers some nice gems mixed in with all the usual sappy quotes.

This quote gets me thinking on this beautiful Sunday morning.  I'm enjoying the gift of Momma's Weekly Writing Time at a local cafe in my town.  I got here early enough to get a table for me and my laptop, and the sun is streaming through the windows.   The cocoa is warm and delicious.

A little later, my husband will likely come by with our girls to "surprise" me, and we'll play a crazy version of Chutes and Ladders before all heading home to enjoy the rest of the day.  We will, of course, leave just in time before the cafe patrons beg to have our noisy selves ejected.

The house is a mess and life is too busy.  This week will be crazy with deadlines for both me and my husband.

But there must be a cosmos, an order to it all.  I know there is.  I hear it reflected in the things the girls ask to do, the things out of our whacky routine.

Will we go to New Park today?  Can we drive by the house with the big ladybug?  There are the flamingoes -- are they lit up yet?  And one of my favorites, no matter from which direction we approach our home, ever since they were able to talk a little, "We're home!"
