New Family DVDs for June 24

So, Mr. Spiderwick, what DVD looks good right now? (Spiderwick Chronicles photo courtesy of Paramount Pictures)
Just our little weekly update of what's out on DVD for families this week.
The biggie is The Spiderwick Chronicles, based on the children's book series and starring Freddie Highmore. The two-disc Field Guide edition is a must-see, even if your family's already seen the movie in theaters. An interactive Spiderwick Journal lets you jump to the scenes featuring the movie's many creatures.
Also worth checking out forĀ teens is the romantic comedy Definitely, Maybe (particularly fans of Abigail Breslin), and 10,000 B.C. might be worth a rental for teens who are really into prehistoric stuff. It's short on actual story, though, and big on creature effects and big sets. (Warning: Lots of caveman/dinosaur violence in this one.)
As for animated fare, this week, we're recommending a new 'toon, The Mouse and the Motorcycle, based on Beverly Cleary's animal adventure story. The book is a kids' classic, and we're pretty excited about this new video series from Scholastic.
Let us know what you rent and tell us what you recommend for family movie night!
