Lots More Scoop from Comic-Con: Igor, Toys, Ben 10 and More!

Me, with my new friend Igor.
Since I got back from Comic-Con, I've barely had time to share the scads of things I'm excited about.
I'll try to give you the rundown now (at least a short one).
Igor, coming out on September 19, looks fantastic! The title character (who's adorable) is voiced by John Cusack, and tons more big names are providing voice work too: Steve Buscemi, John Cleese, Christian Slater, Jennifer Coolidge, Arsenio Hall, and James Lipton (Who's also chipping in his voice for the upcoming Bolt...) Check out the movie's official site.
Castle Grayskull is open for business again! Mattel was showing some fantastic He-Man toys. My brother was a huge fan of "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" back in the day and I loved She-Ra. Adding to the He-Man hype were promotions for The Minisode Network, where you can watch truncated episodes of stuff like "He-Man," "She-Ra," even "The Facts of Life"! Every clip is about 5 minutes or less, the perfect dose of nostalgia.
As an addendum, check out this photo of me with the ladies of He-Man's world. I confess, I forget their exact names, but I believe the girl on my right is Tee-la. Swords, capes, headdresses... those were the good ol' days of cartoon-watching, I have to say.
Disney announced Stan Lee's first project with the studio, "Time Jumper." As far as I'm concerned, Stan Lee is the king of all things comic (he created Spider-Man, Iron Man, the X-Men, just to name a few). Plus, he's just a super-happy guy and you gotta love that. As for "Time Jumper," you'll be able to watch online, on your phone, wherever. Here's the premise, according to the L.A. Times: '"Time Jumper" follows the exploits of our hero, Terry Dixon, who is an agent of a secret government organization known as HUNT (short for Heroes United, Noble and True). He has a cellphone called The Articulus that has the one feature you can't get -- yet -- from Apple's iPhone: a time machine."
Hasbro showed off a giant-size painted My Little Pony that's the 2008 Collector's Exclusive. Check out Hasbro's site to buy your own (though smaller-sized) equine. I also discovered on Hasbro's site, a pretty cool pony for budding toy designer types: This fill-in-the-blank pony, that lets kids paint whatever stylin' designs they want onto their four-legged friend. At $3.99 a pop, it's worth scooping up several, I think.
Ben 10 goes to 11! Really, kids can't get enough of Ben 10 and his Alien Force. I didn't get to go to the "Ben 10" panel but word is, the kids loved the footage they showed from upcoming episodes. I did get my picture taken with these "Ben 10" stars. I don't have the dates for when new episodes of Ben 10: Alien Force start, but I do know that kids are digging the alien creator and game on the Cartoon Network site. That's all for now, but I'm sure I'll think of other cool news to fill you in on soon.
