Are these boys trying to be bigger than the Beatles?

The Jonas Brothers are releasing their third album, A Little Bit Longer on July 12, and already fans are beyond excited.

The talk surrounding this new record is that it will really show how much the brothers have grown as musicians, singers, and songwriters. Nick, Joe, and Kevin wrote all of the tunes themselves.

"The lyrical content has gotten a little more in-depth," said Nick Jonas in an issue of the Disney Newsreel. "The record is about who we are as people and our personal lives."

The album's title track alone is expected to have new teen-girl fan clubs blossoming worldwide: "A Little Bit Longer," is about brother Nick's struggle with diabetes. His brother Kevin says it "brings people to tears."

If you didn't know, the Jonas Brothers almost weren't the international superstars they've become. According to the insider information I got my hands on (yes, the Disney Newsreel again -- hey, it's my company newsletter), the Brothers were signed and dropped by Columbia in 2005, before Disney's Hollywood Records label picked them up in 2007.

Whether the brothers reach Beatles heights, well, I'm not going to make that prediction. But expect to see a lot more of them: After their 50-date Burnin' Up North American tour, we'll be seeing them in a Disney Channel show of their very own, and in Camp Rock 2.

Are your kids excited for the Jonas Brothers' next album? Do they have a favorite Jonas Brothers song?
