Don't fight it: On Wednesday, April 9 your family is probably tuning in to "American Idol Gives Back," seeing as none other than kid fave Miley Cyrus is dropping in for the charity to-do. The show airs at 7:30 p.m. EST/PST on the Fox Network.

So what does the show have in store for moms and dads?

Well, celebrity moms and dads, of course.

Brad Pitt is the evening's big, big, big, big name. Father to four -- with one more on the way -- we have no idea how the dreamy dad makes time for all this charity work. According to a reporter lucky enough to attend the "Idol Gives Back" taping in Hollywood this week, Pitt had a microphone malfunction during the festivities, though that probably won't make it to the final cut. The charity work isn't rare for Pitt, nor for his partner, Angelina Jolie. The couple's known not only for their good looks, growing brood and star power but for the number of good causes with which they attach their names.

Mom-to-two Reese Witherspoon also took part in "Idol''s philanthropic program by helping New Orleans school children with their assignments and reading a story to the class. Last's year "Idol Gives Back" raked in $76 million for charity and this year's hopes to exceed that figure. Other celeb parent do-gooders participating include Bono, Billy Crystal, Celine Dion, and Snoop Dogg. (And it wouldn't be an election year without all three candidates, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John McCain -- making a drop-in, too.)
