Baseball Crazy: 10 Short Stories All About Baseball

Where we're from, spring doesn't quite feel real until baseball season begins. The ballpark is a magical place for a kid -- the eternal green lawns, vendors popping up with peanuts and ice-cold drinks, fireworks when it's not even 4th of July. Of course, ballparks -- especially the Little League kind -- also play host to almost every emotion a kid can ever feel: from the thrill of a home run cracked over the outfield wall to the stomach-clenching upset of missing a flyball to center.

Those emotions explain the reasoning behind "Baseball Crazy: 10 Short Stories That Cover All The Bases." Great kid authors, like Jerry Spinelli, Sue Corbett, John H. Ritter and Frank Portman, write tales that span everything from glorious game-winning plays to those embarrassing moments that make a kid wish they could crawl under the dugout. In other words, great story material. (And a book that even a non-baseball lover can enjoy.)

What is your kids' favorite baseball-themed book, story, or movie?
