This Week's Family DVD Releases

Posted May 27, 2008
Hitting the video store this week? Updating your Netflix queue?

Kids score two just-for-them releases this week with the arrival of "Minutemen" and "Cory in the House" on DVD.

Minutemen is the adventure of three high school seniors united in their outsider status. When Virgil invents a time machine, his buddies decide to travel back in time to right the wrongs that made them high school misfits. This heroic tale includes an unaired extended ending, a behind the… Read More
Is it just us, or is it extremely satisifying to discover a great, under-the-radar movie? It really is. And it's super extremely satisfying to tell everyone you know (plus loyal blog readers who feel like family to us -- wink, wink) all about it -- without giving anything away, naturally.

We're telling you, there's nothing like a good celebrity sighting to really make the day exciting. The trio were dining with a bodyguard nearby, probably to keep adoring fans at bay -- at least until the boys got through their main course. No word on what they ate but our office is abuzz as we… Read More

One of the perks of writing about entertainment are the sneak previews...

Last night, a lucky Family.com-er got to attend an advance screening of "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian."

Since " The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" was such a hit, and a favorite with kids, we bet you want to know all about the sequel.

But, um, we can't say much just yet -- we're not allowed to spill… Read More
