The countdown to
Camp Rock
is on!
So, you're asking, when is it on?
Families will have four chances to catch the Jonas Brothers-headlined flick as it will have not one but four "premieres" over the weekend.
The first airing (for you trendsetters) is 8/7 p.m. CST Friday, June 20 on the Disney Channel. Then, families can catch it again at 8/7 p.m. CST on ABC's Wonderful World of Disney on Saturday,… Read More

Okay, it's been a while since we gave you any Miley/Hannah
Montana scoop so we thought it was time for some good dish.
Her fans are probably counting the days until Miss Miley's new album hits stores (or iTunes) on July 22. Called Breakout, there's a lot of whispering about whether one of the songs, "7 Things," is about a breakup with Nick Jonas, of Jonas Brothers fame.
We're not going to start churning the… Read More

In case you haven't heard, the Wonderful World of Disney on
ABC is showing a host of Disney and Pixar favorites over the next
few weeks. On Saturday, June 14,
Monsters Inc. airs at 8 p.m. EST/PST on ABC.
Perhaps even more exciting is that the Wonderful World flicks will then re-air -- as streaming video on Disney.com. Right now, we're watching Finding Nemo on our PC and it's going swimmingly. You should… Read More

Everywhere we look, we're catching glimpses of Wall-E. He's
on billboards and bus stops and in movie theater lobbies.
And, let's face it, he's adorable to look at, all big eyes and those cute little scoops for hands. Who knew a trash-compacting robot could be so very love-at-first-sight-able?
If, like us, your kids have gone Wall-E crazy and can't wait til the movie hits theaters June 27, be sure to spend some time on the … Read More

July is a big month for any little girl who counts herself
as a fan of American Girl dolls.
"Kit Kittredge: An American Girl" hits theaters on July 2. Fans of the dolls and their tales may already be aware of Kit, a resourceful lass of the Great Depression era. Abigail Breslin (of " Nim's Island" and " Little Miss Sunshine") plays Kit on the big screen, joined by Julia Ormond, Joan Cusack, Chris O'Donnell, Stanley… Read More

In my previous two posts on
Judy Blume's reading tips and
Neil Gaiman's fave kids' book this year, I
mentioned the Children's Author Breakfast.
It was worth waking at the crack of dawn to go, partly because the authors speaking were so phenomenal -- Neil Gaiman, Judy Blume and Sherman Alexie. But it really did help to have a masterfully funny master of ceremonies to get everyone revved up. That master of ceremonies was… Read More
