J.K. Rowling may not be writing any more Hogwarts tales (so she says, anyway), but we're far from Harry Potter-ed out here at Family.com. We're eagerly anticipating the release of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" on November 21. (What a giving of thanks that will be. We have only the photo at left so far but you know we'll show you more goodies as we get them.)

But the news that really got our hearts soaring like a Firebolt was the announcement that the film version of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the last book in the series, will be done in two parts. The first installment will be released in 2010 and the second will emerge in 2011.

While last summer's "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" won a lot of raves, we felt it skimmed over some of the best parts of the fifth book. What a relief that the filmmakers won't rush through book seven. And, even better, it gives one more Potter event to look forward to.

Parents: What do you think of this news? Will your kids be patient enough to wait a year between movies? What has been your family's favorite Potter movie so far?
