Because money doesn't grow on trees
She already loves the bad boys

Genoa's new favorite show is tragically the odd and somewhat baffling Icelandic hit Lazy Town. Have you ever seen this show? It's about pink-haired (and admittedly ADORABLE) girl named Stephanie who comes to town to live with her uncle, who is a puppet, where she meets several other kids, all puppets. There's a bad guy named Rotten Robbie who dreams of returning the town to its former glory of gluttony and a good guy named Sportacus who drops down from his floating space ship to save the day, usually with a solution that involves eating vegetables and exercising. Order is always restored and everyone dances to techno music.
Anyway, Genoa must tell me fifty times a day to "Put LAZY on! I wanna DANCE!" and at least a couple of times, I give in and let her watch it. I mean, there are worse things for her to see on TV. Unfortunately, she's not old enough to understand any of the show's plot yet, as evidenced by her extreme and undying affection for the bad guy, Rotten Robbie. Today, halfway through the show, she enthusiastically exclaimed, "Mommy! I love Robbie SO MUCH!"
"But Genoa, he's the BAD GUY!?"
"No. Robbie NICE. Him GOOD."
She's not even two yet and she already has a thing for the bad boys. What am I going to do with her?!
