My favorite drug pusher

Last night I was up with the baby four times between midnight and five am before dragging my butt out of bed to start the day at 6:00AM.  I wish I could say last night was the exception, but lack of sleep for me is the rule.  That child will NOT sleep through the night.  You name it from swaddling to co-sleeping to crying-it-out, I've tried it.  I could write a book (and pretty much almost have) about the various and sundry ways this child tries to torture me through sleep deprivation.

The only thing getting me through the day honestly is caffeine.  Even on my best days, I'm a total junkie, drinking at least three cups of coffee every morning.  Sometimes the thought of that first cup is the only thing that gets me out of bed.  I even have to admit that on my worst days, I make my first cup of coffee before I'm even able to think about feeding the crying baby.

I absolutely ADORE my Melitta One:One coffee maker.   It literally gets me through the day.  It's a pod machine, so instead of buying bulk coffee, we buy these little pods that look like string-less tea bags.  With the One:One, you can use a single pod to brew a four ounce (strong) or six ounce (regular strength) cup.  It only brews individual cups, which is exactly how I like my coffee: hot, fresh and without any disgusting grounds to scrape out of my tile grout.  The best part is that you can buy the coffee pods at Target and they actually taste GREAT.  My Starbucks habit has been reduced to almost nil.  I highly recommend it.
