I found this helpful Thank You! Your vote will be tallied soon!

It looks like I went and took a week off here without even meaning to!  We were just so busy enjoying our little family Christmas and the snow!

Dave's mom has been staying with us now for almost three weeks.  She leaves Wednesday and I'll be really sad to see her go.  It's nice to have a mother-in-law that I get along with so very well.  I would say I'm really going to miss the constant supply of help with the kids, but the truth is the thing I'll miss the most is her constant company.

The good news is that tonight she sealed the deal on the house right across the street.  If all goes well with the escrow process, in thirty days, she'll have an address that's only one digit different from ours.  You'd think the prospect of living that close would worry me, but I'm really hoping it all goes well and that she ends up across the street.  How better to raise our kids than with family so close by.

We're definitely looking at a busy month this January.  Three days after Carol goes home, my brother and his family arrive for a week stay.  I've been anticipating their visit (all the way from China!) for months since it will be the first time I get to meet his baby boy, who is already seven months old.  I'm not sure which I'm looking forward to more - seeing the baby or seeing what my crazy brother is like as a dad.  (Actually, who am I kidding?  CHUBBY BABY CHEEKS COME TO MAMA!)  I can't wait to see them.

Then, a few days after my brother goes home, Dave's brother will be here for a long weekend, which also happens to be our ten year wedding anniversary.  Dave is already banking hours at work so he can take time off to go play with his brother and I'm looking forward to trying to convince yet another arm of our family to make the move northward.  Should be a great start to the year!
