11-Mar-08 The Barber Shop Personal $18.00 $18.00

$1,092.46  $1,092.46

To clarify what this chart represents, I've subtotaled each of the categories so you can get an idea of our spending.  We've spent $433.56 on groceries so far this month and even more shocking, we've spent $337.77 on household stuff.  I am cooking for company and I did also invest in some canning jars to replace all my old dying tupperware, so that was around $40, but I can't imagine what other stuff I've been buying that I didn't really NEED.  I honestly thought I'd been doing well this month!  I can't remember anything other than diapers, paper towels and coffee.  I think that's why budgeting is so frustrating to me.  We spend so much and seem to get so little enjoyment out of it!  I can think of a million things I'd rather spend my money on than toilet paper and chicken breasts, but that's where it all seems to go.  I can't think of a single thing I've bought for fun and yet we're already way over budget.
