A month of gratitude: Day 9 - FRIENDS
0 |
It's hard to believe our luck, but we've already made a few really good friends since we moved here. We've officially been Washingtonians for only five months, but we already have some of the closest friends we've ever had in our lives. I think a big part of it is that we finally feel like we can host people at our house without feeling embarassed about where we live. I've always been a social butterfly and LOVE having parties, etc, but Dave was always embarassed that there he was a successful attorney raising his family in a crappy apartment. Now, though, we both love having people over and I think it's really made us so much more able to reciprocate with our friends. In fact, I probably need to watch out that I don't become an over-inviter since my friends would probably like the opportunity to ask us to their houses too.
