A month of gratitude: Day 5 - PRESCHOOL
2 |
When I picked Alex up from school on Friday, one of his teachers stopped me to tell me how much she misses him after lunch. He's one of the few kids in his class who gets picked up at 1:00, instead of at the traditional Montessori pick-up time of 3:00. It made my day that she went out her way to tell me that she enjoys being with my kid.
I LOVE this school.
Not only do I feel like his teachers genuinely appreciate Alex's particular brand of personality, but he's actually learning stuff there. He folds towels now and buttons his own clothes. He can put his jacket on and zip it up entirely unassisted. Not to mention that he's speaking French, or at least counting ten. Overall, we've noticed a massive increase in his independence and his ability to act like a human being instead of a cranky toddler. As expensive as it is, I can't recommend Montessori enough. Their program works like magic.
